Perhaps the sky is still blue, but I can see the black sky.
Perhaps the flowers are still beautiful, but I can see the ugly
flowers. Perhaps the sun still shines, but there ’s no sun in
my world. Perhaps the world doesn ’t change, but my world is
changing. The exam has been over, but I can’t wake up because
I think I did very badly.
But I know, even if you didn ’t do well this time, but you
can do well next time. Time can ’t run backwards, you can try
your best to do something well in the future.
I think, there ’s no winning or losing in the world.
Tomorrow, the sun rises again; we will have a new day!
I love English because it can be very helpful in my future
career, for English is so widely used in the world. Moreover,
I find it very interesting to learn a subject that is absolutely
different from Chinese culture. In the course of learning
English, I learn a lot of things about Western countries, which
is very fresh and interesting for me.I make friends with somes
foreigners in a Englsih website,we municate with each other
about our countries'unique culture,I think I am making
contribution to connecting China and the world.
Honesty means speaking the truth and being fair and
upright in act. Considered as a virtue, it is admired in every
country and every culture. One who lies and cheats is dishonest.
Dishonesty is generally looked down upon as an evil, and
therefore is despised and condemned by everyone.
As the proverb goes, “honesty is the best policy ”. If
you want to win the trust and respect from others, you have to
be honest. People are ready to help and make friends with honest
persons, whereas a liar is not believed even when he speaks the
truth. If you want to sueed in your study and work, the first
qualification is honesty. Therefore, whatever your aim is, you
must work honestly to reach it.
Many people, however, try various dishonest means in order
to get what they want. For instance, some people manage to get
promoted by briery or telling lies. Some academic works are full
of plagiarisms. Some students cheat in exams instead of making
honest efforts. Money-oriented salespeople cheat consumers by
advertising fake modities. Such people are condemned and will
be punished sooner or later though they benefit from their
dishonest behaviors for the time being.

English is a West Germanic language that developed in
England during the Anglo-Saxon era. As a result of the military,
economic, scientific, political, and cultural influence of the
British Empire during the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries
and of the United States since the mid 20th century,it has bee
the lingua franca in many parts of the world. It is used
extensively as a second language and as an official language
in Commonwealth countries and many international
organizations.
Historically, English originated from several dialects,
now collectively termed Old English, which were brought to
Great Britain by Anglo-Saxon settlers beginning in the 5th
century. The language was influenced by the Old Norse language
of Viking invaders. After the Norman conquest, Old English
developed into Middle English, borrowing heavily from the
Norman (Anglo-French) vocabulary and spelling conventions. The
etymology of the word "English" is a derivation from 12th
century Old English: englisc or Engle, and plural form Angles;
definition of, relating to, or characteristic of England.
Modern English developed with the Great Vowel Shift that began
in 15th-century England, and continues to adopt foreign words
from a variety of languages, as well as coining new words. A
significant number of English words, especially technical
words, have been constructed based on roots from Latin and
ancient Greek.
