7) Love.
8) Love, Wealth and Success.
Exercise 2
Sample:
I think what the three old men said is a bit too absolute. I partially agree with it. I would rather put it this way: Wherever there is love, there is more likely to be wealth and success. If there is love, people will have more interest in the work they are doing, or they can cooperate better with others and be more optimistic. Without love, people could be cold to each other, have less efficiency in work, and even fight with each other, and people could hardly achieve wealth and success. But love is only one of the factors contributing to wealth and success. There are other things like hard work, intelligence, creativity, and luck that count.

And usually when I am about to be caught I wake up, sometimes sweating all over. I’ve told people about it and the interpretation given is that my schedule is too tight most of the time. I don’t know how Freud would interpret it, but the interpretation seems to make sense.

I can’t tell exactly whom I’d like to make friends with. It all depends. I have both American friends and British friends and I find them warm and friendly. Generally speaking, the Americans are more open and it takes a shorter time to develop friendship with them. Compared with Americans, British people are more quiet and they are more gentleman-like. Of course, one big difference is their accent. Personally I like the American accent, so I find it easier to communicate with Americans.

Mr. Blake bought a second-hand car and he paid £1,150 for it. He was told that the car was perfect when he bought it and the car seemed all right all at the tame of the purchase, but he soon found something wrong with the car. He had difficulty starring the car, and once it was started, it didn’t run very well. He took his car to a local garage and had the car checked. He was told that
the car had been damaged and had not been properly repaired. The car was only worth £400 as it was. Mr. Black went to the man who had sold him the car, but the man didn’t want to bear the responsibility.
Mr. Black therefore called the consumer program “At Your Service” and asked for advice. Since this was a private sale, Mr. Black had little protection under the law. He was advised to make a claim under the Small Claims Procedure.

I have had an experience as what happens in the passage. When I was in high school, I did well on every subject except physics. So when physics exam came. I always felt nervous. One Monday morning there was a physics exam. When I got up, I felt dizzy and sick, and I got pale. My parents thought I was ill, so they took me to the hospital. The doctor found nothing wrong with me and asked me to go back home and take a rest. My father called the physics teacher, so I missed the exam. After listening to the dialog. I got to know that I was actually suffering from exam-it is that day.
