(2020·安徽重点中学模拟)When asked to describe Comfort Zone Camp in one word, I realized this can be extremely difficult to do. As I think about this question, one word that constantly comes to mind is family. When my mom passed away three years ago, a piece of my family was unexpectedly torn away from me. There are numerous memories filling my mind, making missing my mom extremely hard. Thankfully, I have found support and encouragement in friends throughout the past three years and in new family members every day. Comfort Zone Camp has provided me with additional family members that have been one of the best support systems I could ever ask for.
While nothing could ever replace my mom, every time I go to the Camp I find my camp family grows a little bigger, making it a bit easier for me to deal with my loss. Since starting to volunteer at Comfort Zone Camp I have met so many amazing people. I will never forget meeting my very first friend. Not only did we look alike, but there were many times when staff members would confuse our names. From then on we loved joking around and referring to ourselves as sisters while purposely dressing alike.
Every child that comes to the Camp just wants to be loved. They want you to play games with them, laugh with them and comfort them if needed. They want someone to respect their memories, tears, and hopes for the future. We are asked to meet these children where they are and help them discover where they want to go from there. At last, they’ll describe the Camp through the word family, or even better, with one word that is incredibly unique to their own experience.

While nothing could ever replace my mom, every time I go to the Camp I find my camp family grows a little bigger, making it a bit easier for me to deal with my loss.
句中的While引导让步状语从句;every time引导时间状语从句;现在分词短语making it...my loss在句中作状语。

(2020·济南高三模拟)We humans love to stare into our smart devices. We gaze for hours—about 10 hours and 39 minutes a day—at our computers, smartphones, tablets and televisions. Is all this staring bad for us? It might be, mainly because as we stare at our devices we are exposing ourselves to blue light.
Blue light is a type of electromagnetic(电磁的) radiation with a very short wavelength that produces a high amount of energy. While it’s true that light can
9
damage our eyes under certain circumstances, there’s no scientific evidence suggesting that blue light is harmful to our eyes. But many people still think it is, which is why bluelightblocking glasses are so popular. So do the glasses work?
“Everyone is very concerned that blue light may be causing damage to the eye, but there’s no evidence that it may be causing serious damage,” Dr. Rahul Khurana, clinical spokesman for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, told Business Insider.
Blue light exposure is nothing new. In fact, the sun is the largest source of blue light. Moreover, blue light is also present in LED light. But if blue light isn’t harmful, then why are we constantly rubbing our eyes when we’re looking at our screens? The answer is eyestrain(眼疲劳): More than 60 percent of people experience eye problems associated with digital eyestrain. And blue light, it seems, isn’t the cause. Instead, our eyes are so strained because most of us blink less when we stare at our digital devices. So if eyestrain is the issue, bluelightblocking glasses are probably of little use.
4.What do we know about blue light?
A.It is a kind of nuclear radiation.
B.It has the shortest wavelength.
C.It may come from electronic devices.
D.It consumes a great deal of energy.
根据第一段中的“It might be, mainly because as we stare at our devices we are exposing ourselves to blue light.” A项、B项和D项与第二段中的“Blue light is a type of electromagnetic(电磁的) radiation with a very short wavelength that produces a high amount of energy.”
5.What causes the popularity of bluelightblocking glasses?
A.Evidence of their benefits to eyes.
B.Belief in blue light’s harmful effect.
C.Widespread use of smart devices.
D.Scientific understanding of blue light.
根据第二段中的“there’s no scientific evidence suggesting that blue light is harmful to our eyes. But many people still think it is, which is why bluelightblocking glasses are so popular.”
9
6.What can be inferred from paragraph 4?
A.Blue light exposure is hardly avoidable.
B.Eye problems are not easy to deal with.
C.Blue light may connect with tired eyes.
D.Rubbing eyes makes people strained.
根据第四段中的“Blue light exposure is nothing new. In fact, the sun is the largest source of blue light. Moreover, blue light is also present in LED light.”
7.According to the text, wearing bluelightblocking glasses may be ________.
A.tiring B.harmful
C.useless D.beneficial
根据最后一段中的“So if eyestrain is the issue, bluelightblocking glasses are probably of little use.”
While it’s true that light can damage our eyes under certain circumstances, there’s no scientific evidence suggesting that blue light is harmful to our eyes.

a variety of=various,意为“各种各样的”,修饰名词plants,故将various改为variety。
④删除of。
⑤that改为what。
⑥在information前加an。
⑧was改为is。
⑨but改为and。
⑩many改为much。wildlife是不可数名词,不能用many修饰,应用much修饰,故将many改为much。
