Spring is a wonderful season to celebrate rebirth and new life. The long, cold winter is over. The weather is warmer and sunnier. The trees again have leaves and the flowers are blooming. The season represents hope, joy and beauty. At this time, many people think of this classical music piece—Spring, which shows happiness. Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi wrote it in the seventeen hundreds.
However, not all songs about spring are happy. This song written and sung by K.D.Lang is about dreaming of spring in cold dark places. She recorded I Dream of Spring in 2008.
Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein wrote It Might as Well Be Spring for the movie State Fair in 1945.Frank Sinatra sings it.It is a feeling of restlessness or excitement brought on by the coming of spring. Richard Rodgers also wrote Spring Is Here, this time with Lorenz Hart. Ella Fitzgerald sings this song about feeling lonely during this season.
Frank Loesser wrote the sad song,Spring Will Be a Little Late This Year. Why has the season been delayed? Because the singer's lover has left her. Sarah Vaughn released(发行) her version of the song in 1953.
By now you may be thinking,“Enough with the sad songs, already!”OK,then how about a cowboy song? Gene Autry was one of the America's most famous singing cowboys. He recorded When It's Springtime in the Rockies in 1937.

Eco City Farms are becoming more popular in cities and towns around the United States.
Eco City Farms in Edmonston,Maryland,is located near shopping centers, car repairing shops and homes. The neighborhood is a workingclass community. People do not have much money, and they have limited access to fresh food in markets.
Over the past two years, the farm has attracted volunteers from the community like Marcy Clark. She schools her four children at home. On a recent day she brought them to Eco City Farms for a lesson. Her son Alston Clark thinks his experience is very valuable.“I like coming out here,” he says,“You know, you connect with the
earth, where your food comes from. You appreciate the food a little bit more.”
Margaret Morgan started Eco City Farms. She thinks of it as a place where people can learn to live healthier lives.“Growing food in a community brings people together,” she continues,“Every piece of what we do here is a demonstration to show people everything about how to have an ecofriendly community.” she says. From the Eco City Farms people come to know that they are not only growing food and raising chickens and bees, but improving the soil with compost (肥料) made from food waste.
Eco City Farms is an experimental operation. The farm gets its power not from the local electricity networks, but from the sun with solar panels. In winter, the green houses use a geothermal (地热) system. Vegetables can be grown all year. Albert Einstein(1879—1955)was one of the greatest and most original scientific thinkers of all time.
Born of Jewish parents in Germany,he completed his education in Switzerland and got his Ph.D at the University of Zurich. He went to live in the United States in 1933 because of the rise of Nazism(纳粹)in Germany and Hitler's persecution(迫害)of the Jews.
In 1905,while still at Zurich,he published his Special Theory of Relativity, which was based on things everyone may have noticed. If two trains are standing alongside each other and one train starts to move,a person sitting in the train may wonder whether his own train is moving or the other is moving, and before he finds out what is happening,he can see that one train is moving relatively to the other. From this and also from other more complicated facts,Einstein came to the conclusion that all motion is relative and that there are really no such things as absolute(绝对)motion. Some of the other conclusions he drew are that nothing can go faster than light, and that if something such as a ruler was moving faster and faster it would seem to get shorter and shorter as its speed was near the speed of light.By 1915,Einstein had made known his General Theory of Relativity. He also improved on Newton's theory of gravity. Most of his theories have been tested and found to be true though some may sound strange. For his important work he was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics.
33.In 1933,Einstein went to live in the United States because______________.
A.he loved the USA more than his own country
B.he had got some friends there with whom he could work together
C.he wanted to live quietly in the USA

D.still at the University of Zurich at the age of thirtysix

I went up to see what was .I was to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many were standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation,I pushed through the crowd as I took off my coat jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To great relief, the kid was saved.
I was proud what I had done.I hope everyone can give a hand when someone else is in need。

Dear Li Wei.
Glad to hear from you. You say you have some problems in overcoming the pressure of exams. Don’t worry. Let me give you some advice.
As a matter of fact, most of us middle school students feel nervous whenever we’re taking an important exam. There is no doubt that exams are important to us students, but it’s more important to have a right attitude towards them. Therefore, try to study hard every day and make good preparations for exams but don’t worry too much about the
results. And I think it’s good to go out for a walk or do some outdoor exercise before exams. Besides, having enough sleep can make us full of energy and make it possible for us to perform well in the exam. A hot bath or a cup of hot milk before going to bed might help you have a sound sleep.
Don’t worry too much about exams and try to relax yourself. I am sure you will do well in the exam. Good luck.
Yours,
Wu Peng
