I’m not ready to graduate yet.‎ M: Maybe you’ll feel differently next year.‎ W: I doubt it. I’m really going to miss college.‎ M: Really? I can’t wait to get out into the real world. I even throw my cigarettes in the trash when I’m done smoking. How about you?‎ W: It is easier for me, because I don’t smoke at all. But I am glad you throw your trash away.‎ M: However, I have three trash cans. I am confused. You know, in my old town, I only needed one trash can. (16) You have been here much longer than me. Can you help me?‎ W: Sure. First, you should know that only one type of trash goes into each can. One can is for paper products, one is for plastic, and one is for glass. (15)‎ M: But in my hometown, there were people who would separate the trash for me. Don’t you think it’s a better way to save us time and energy?‎ W: But it’s a heavy burden for the cleaners. In order to keep the city clean and recycle the resources efficiently, you must separate your trash yourself. That is the rule.‎ M: Thanks a lot. I understand now. ‎ Text 10‎ Good morning. This is Michael Jones here with the 10:00 News Report. Earlier this week, we heard about Milton, the dog that traveled over 3,000 miles to reunite with his family. (17) When the Johnson family moved from California to New York, they couldn’t find their dog and they were sad to leave him behind. About a month later, Milton showed up at their doorstep in New York. We cannot believe how far this dog traveled! The family will be doing an interview in the studio tomorrow morning. In other news, there’s been an outbreak of car thefts in Orange County this week. About ten cars have stolen from outside their owners’ homes since Monday. (18) If you see or hear anything, please call 911. About ten people found themselves stuck on a roller coaster after it broke down at the Six Flags theme park on Tuesday in Union City. (19) The victims swung upside down for around three minutes as staff worked to restart the roller coaster. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Six Flags has said that they check their rides very seriously, and that this was simply an unfortunate accident. That’s it for the news.
