Take a left turn, and go down one block. You’ll see the gas station near a post office.‎ W: OK. I should be able to make it.‎ Text 9‎ W: Dad, look at this friendship quiz. ‎ M: Why don’t you try it? The first question. How often do you get in touch with your friends? ‎ W: Hmm... my friends aren’t in the same secondary school as me. And I dislike ringing people up. Why not call or visit them often?‎ W: You’re right, Dad!‎ Text 10‎ I would like to share story between my mother and me. When I was eight years old, I wanted to buy my mom something nice for birthday, but I didn’t have any money. ⑰I collected empty Cola bottles and trade them for a penny each at the corner shop. Later, I could afford a birthday card and a candy bar. ⑱I put the candy in my pants pocket, tucked the card under my shirt and ran home. ⑲By then it was getting dark. As I rounded the corner near our house, I saw mom looking for me. I could tell she was worried and angry. “Where were you?” she shouted. I explained, “I was out collecting bottles to get money for your birthday present.” I reached into my shirt and gave her the unsigned card and the candy bar. Her anger disappeared. She reached out to hug me. As she held me tight and buried her face in my hair, I heard her sobbing.‎
