Reading (1)
Analysis of the teaching materials (教材分析)
This is the second teaching period which includes two parts in the book. The first part mainly talks about homes around the world. In this part, there are the blogs of three students from different countries. We will learn some information about them, at the same time; we can learn some useful words of different rooms in a dream home. The second part is about homes in different countries. This part mainly includes some exercise about part one such as exercise 1 is corrected the mistakes in the following sentences, and the exercise 2 is complete the table with the information of part 1.
Analysis of the students (学情分析)
Students may have some basic information about dream homes after last class. And they will still have a strong atmosphere of learning more information about this topic. So they will show a strong interest in this lesson. However, in terms of lacking vocabulary, they also have much confusion when learning this passage. In this lesson, through consciously massive reading, on the one hand expanded the vocabulary, on the other hand has raised the language sense. Also, they can improve their abilities of skilling and scanning. Besides, Cooperative learning helps students to be aware of the importance of team-working and improve their social skills. So we need to set up some interesting activities and teach according to the student's ability. Only in this way can they put energy into classroom activities.

设计意图: 词汇输入,扫除阅读障碍。 以画面和语境的方式输入词汇,同时引起对梦想之家中对各个房间表达方式及如何描述生活习惯的兴趣。

设计意图:通过听录音跟读文章,纠正语言,运用skimming的阅读技巧,让学生对整个文章的写作内容有一个整体的认知,让学生更容易理解记叙文的实质,从整体上了解文章的内容。
