Lesson 31 Are you ready for a quiz ?‎ 教学目标:1、 知识与技能:本课要求学生能听懂故事。‎ ‎2、 情感态度价值观:通过多样性的活动和教学评价,激励学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性,使学生在英语课堂中不断体验进步与成功,认识自我,建立自信,促进学生综合语言运用能力的发展。 ‎ 教学重点、难点:学生能听懂故事 ‎ 教具准备:磁带、单词卡片 课时 : 1课时 ‎ 教学过程:‎ Step 1 Class opening and Review ‎ ‎1) Greeting ‎2) Review ‎ Step 2 Presentation ‎ ‎1、Answer the questions ‎ ‎1) What is Christmas ?‎ That’s easy ! Christmas is a special holiday !‎ ‎2) What is Lynn going to do ?‎ She’s going to talk to Santa .‎ ‎3) What is Li Ming doing ?‎ He’s giving a gift to Mr. and Mrs. Smith .‎ ‎4) What are they putting on their Christmas tree ?‎ ‎5) What’s this ?‎ It’s a gift for you ! Merry Christmas .‎ ‎2、Story book “ Maddy’s Christmas .”‎ ‎1) Listen to the tape .‎ ‎2) Read after the teacher , they translate the story .‎ Step 3 Summary ‎ The students can understand the story and understand it .‎ Step 4 Homework ‎ Review what we have learnt in this Unit .‎ ‎③When does Li Ming arrive ?‎ When will Li Ming go home ?‎ How long will Li Ming like in Canada ?‎ ‎④How does he come ?‎ ‎⑤What time did Li Ming’s plane arrive ?‎ ‎⑥Who meets him at the airport ?‎ ‎⑦Did he have a good trip ?‎ ‎2)Read the dialogue and discuss the questions in groups .‎ ‎3)Ask the students to answer the questions .‎ ‎4)Read by themselves , then read role-play . ‎ Step 3 Consolidation ‎ Make up a dialogue about meeting someone at the airport . Divide the class into small groups . Ask each group to include in their dialogue ‎ the question and answer . “ What time is it ? It’s ”Enounce the students to be creative and to use as many English phrases as they can .‎ Step 4 Summary ‎ This lesson we understand that Li Ming arrived Canada . Danny and Jenny meet Li Ming at an airport . We learned how to ask and answer the phrases “ What time is it ?
