You were so kind and friendly to treat us with good meals, and show us around the city. It is really nice to visit London, whose beautiful scenery and delicious food gave me a good impression. I had a great time there and learned a lot about London. Cathy, are you free these days? I would like to invite you to visit China. I'll show you around the interesting places, such as Beijing and Xi'an.‎ Expresses our thanks once more .Looking forward to your reply.‎ Yours,‎ Li Hua ‎ ‎3.‎ Recently, the TV program A Bite of China has attracted much attention. Its celebration of the diversity of delicious local food around China reminds me of the food in my hometown.‎ Many people complain that life changes too fast . But I believe that there is one thing that never escapes us, the taste for the food we grew up with. I grew up ‎ in a family of three generations under one roof. Living together with dozens of your relatives proved to be great fun. My grandma would tell us all those amazing ancient stories while making sticky rice cakes in the shape of lovely animals for us. My uncle, who works at a local restaurant featuring fish specialties, would bring back some of his best dishes back home to share with the family. I have traveled to other places in China, but never have I tasted better fish than my uncle’s.‎ In my opinion, A Bite of China is about more than merely food. The program tells people about the real China. As a nation of food lovers, we are drawn to the series by the impressive-looking food, but we are even more impressed by the human interests in it – the love of the food, of our hometowns and of our mother country.‎ ‎4.Our school has recently set up a column called Sharing for Senior 3 students. The column, aimed at relieving pressure and ensuring the health of us students, mainly deals with our worries in life and the challenges we meet in the course of study. It has a unique advantage that we can seek from experts in psychology some professional advice on our respective problems. ‎ In my opinion, our school attaches great importance to our study and our mental health as well. Starting this column provides us with a platform on which to communicate with others and pour out our feelings. On the other hand, we can turn to it for help when at a loss what to do. Under the expert guidance of the column, I believe, we can achieve our goals with more confidence and keep a good state of mind at the same time.‎ ‎5.One possible version: ‎ ‎656 Minzu Street‎  ‎ November 2, 2013‎ ‎ Dear Jack,‎ ‎  Next Saturday will be my birthday. I’m going to hold a birthday party at home in the evening. It will start at 7:30. Some classmates as well as some foreign friends are also invited. The activities include singing, dancing and sharing interesting experiences. Surely, we’ll have a good time. I would feel honored if you could come.‎ I live at 656 Minzu Street. You can take Buses No 23 or No 40 and get off at the stop of No.One‎ ‎High School. Just on the opposite of the stop is my house which is red with a white door. I’m sure you can’t miss it.‎ I do hope you will come. ‎ Best wishes.‎ Yours, ‎ Li Hua ‎6.Ladies and Gentlemen,‎ ‎ It’s my honour to give a speech here. My topic of speech is “Smile for Life, and Every Day will be Sunshine”. It conveys the message that positive attitude really counts in our life. Once we adopt a positive attitude towars life, we may overcome whatever difficulty there is in our way, realize our dreams and gain success.‎ ‎ Here I share one of my experiences with you. With the College Entrance Examination drawing near, I was filled with great anxiety. Under great pressure, I couldn’t apply myself to study, resulting in failing an important examination. And you can guess, I got very frustrated. I remember clearly when I was in a bad mood, my headteacher, Miss Zhang, approached me and gave me a badge with a big smile on it and said, “In life we all have those moments when we can’t achieve what we want. It is natural. Don’t allow those moments to weaken you, but turn them into motivation and let them inspire you.” The badge she gave to me was a reminder which provided me with constant encouragement to smile for life. Consequently, I gained what I deserved in the next examination. ‎ ‎ As we can see in the story, it is an optimistic attitude that matters most of all. It gives you the confidence to confront tough difficulties and with smile , you can improve your result to achieve anything you want in life.‎ Thanks for your attention!‎
