第一节
Text 1
M: Have you bought your Christmas presents yet?
W: Almost. I got a watch for my husband. And
I’m going to find a camera or a mobile phone for
my dad.
Text 2
M: Hi, I’m here for my four o’clock appointment.
W: Why don’t you have a seat for a moment?
Doctor Smith will be here soon.
Text 3
M: Have you finished your paper?
W: Finally. I have done nothing else this whole
week but type it.
Text 4
W:What’s the problem, officer?
M: Well, you can’t park here, or you’ll be fined.
W: Oh. I didn’t see a sign.
M: There’s a sign right there, behind the tree.
Text 5
W: It’s fifty kilometers to the next town.
M: We must stop at the gas station and get some
gas.
第二节
Text 6 (6-8)
W: Why don’t you begin by telling me something
about yourself?
M: Well, I was born in New York and went to
school there, right up through college. My father
is a doctor and my mother is a lawyer.
W: Sounds as if you come from a professional
family.
M: That’s right. One of my sisters is a dentist and
the other one teaches at a university.
W: What made you decide to get into computers?
M: Oh, nothing in particular, I guess. I always
liked mathematics and playing with machines.
W: Now, What about your experience? How long
have you been working with computers?
M: More than five years now. After I got my
engineering degree from the college, I began my
career in computer technology and I even had my
own company for a while.
W: It certainly sounds impressive. We’ll probably
get back to you in a week.
M: Thanks very much.
Text 7 (9-11)
W: Hi, Gary, how was Paris?
M: Great! It’s a very beautiful city! But my trip
was quite an adventure! Especially the end!
W: Really? What happened?
M: On Thursday, I checked the times of the airport
bus, but I didn’t notice that they were different at
weekends…. And I was leaving on Sunday….
W: Oh no!
M: I wanted to get the midnight bus to the airport
and my flight was at seven o’clock in the
morning….so I arrived at the bus stop at 11:30
pm.
W: But you were too late…
M: Exactly! The last bus was gone! I didn’t have
money for a taxi and the subway wasn’t running
either.
W: What did you do?
M: I decided to spend the night in a café and I
didn’t get any sleep.
W: Oh dear! So, what time did you get to the
airport?
M: I took the first bus the next morning and got
there at five. But you’ll never believe what
happened! I was there for four hours! We finally
took off at 9!
W: Oh, no! You must be exhausted.
Text 8 (12-15)
Hello, everyone. Thank you for coming. My name
is Chris Brown, president of the International
Student Union of our college. On behalf of all the
members of the Union, I’d like to give you a brief
introduction about our association. The
International Student Union was founded in1960.
The aim of our Union is to provide the best
service for the international students. We arrange
short trips each weekend, such as city tours and
museum visits. We also organize summer camps
during summer vacations and different kinds of
food parties at special times. That sounds amazing,
doesn’t it? If you’d like to join the Union, just
send your name and student number via email.
And if you are interested in our short trips on the
weekend, you can sign up in our office each
Wednesday. Remember that some events are quite
popular and we have to limit the number of
students. Some of the events also require a small
amount of fee for transportation. If you want to
know more……..

Text 2

came to see me. We had a long talk about our
business.
Text 3
M: Excuse me. Do you know the name of this
painting?
W: I’m not sure, but I think it’s by a Spanish artist.
You can look it up in the catalog.
Text 4
W: I heard you caught a cold. How are you doing
today?
M: I can’t complain. At least I’m out of bed.
Text 5
W:Would you mind if I used your phone?
M: Help yourself. It’s on the table over there.
第二节
Text 6 (6-8)
M: Good morning. What can I do for you?
W: Good morning. I want to get in shape and I
need some help.
M: Well, you’ve come to the right place. Have you
been doing any exercise lately?
W: I’m afraid not.
M: OK. Then, we’ll start off slow. Which type of
exercise do you enjoy doing?
W: I like dancing, but I hate jogging. I don’t mind
doing some weight-lifting, though.
M: Great. That gives us plenty to work with. How
often can you work out?
W: Twice or three times a week would be good.
M: Why don’t we start with a dancing class twice
a week followed by a little weight-lifting, and then
build up gradually?
W: Sounds fine to me. How do I sign up for the
classes?
M: We’ll need you to join the gym and then you
can choose the classes that fit your schedule best.
W: Great! I can’t wait to get started. Thanks for
your advice.
Text 7 (9-11)
M: Hey, Cathy. Are you going to the football game
on Saturday?
W: No, Tim. I’m not a big football fan.
M: Well, you’ll regret it.
W: Why, are you going?
M: Of course. It should be a really good game.
Neither team has been defeated so far and this
game will decide who can go to the final.
W: Well, that sounds like it could be an exciting
game. What time does it start?
M: At two o’clock, but it’s good to get there an
hour early. Everyone likes to hang out before the
game actually begins.
W: And how much are the tickets?
M: The tickets are free with your student card.
You just have to pick them up at the stadium by
the end of the day today.
W: I’m glad I ran into you. I think my first
football game will be this weekend!
Text 8 (12-15)
Now, ladies and gentlemen, just a few safety
rules before you drive off. The most important one
is to stay in your car at all times. Otherwise you
might end up as fast food; and you mustn’t feed
the animals; sometimes the deer come close if
they see you eating, but they don’t need any more
food, believe me! Now, never use flash when you
take pictures, not even with the little bears hidden
in the trees; they might be frightened. Also, you
should keep your car windows closed; animals can
be very curious! Last week, a monkey jumped into
a car and the people were bitten. You are allowed
to eat and drink in your cars, of course, but please
remember that every car has been given rubbish
bags. So throw any rubbish in there and not out of
the window. And finally, please, don’t make too
much noise. If you listen, you will hear beautiful
songs, the animals, the water, the wind in the
trees.
