Step 1.Warm-up
1 Greetings
(1) when the students arrive in the classroom, greet them. Teacher: Hello students! We are halfway through our Learning English Book for Grade 5!
(2) take a few minutes to discuss the new unit. Raise the textbook to the students to show the main content they are going to learn in each lesson. See how much the students know about sending e - mail. Ask if anyone knows what a postcard or a letter is.

Step 2. Presentation
1. Postcard, letter and email
(1) teaching new words much, postcard, letter, email with vocabulary cards. Show each card and say the word. Take out the sample postcards and envelopes brought to the class. Read the postcards in the classroom and give the students time to watch.
(2) let the students look at the first part of the 38 page. Ask each picture to ask questions: What is this? And then ask the students to say the difference between the three types of contact. Raise a postcard and ask: How do you know this is a postcard and not a letter? Raise a letter to let students say what the letter is writing.
(3) play the first part of the recording, students quiet age listening. Now, listen to the tape again and play.
2. deductive
(1) draw a postcard on the blackboard. Pretend you want to send it to your friends in your hometown. Let the students think about it, and the teachers write them on the postcard.

4. In the shop
(1) look at the second part of the 38 page of the textbook. Discuss what you see in the picture.

(3) play the recordings and let the students listen quietly.
