Step 1.Organizing the teaching
1.Greetings
2.Say the chant “Everyone”.
Step 2. Revision
Review “minutes” “hours” “days” “weeks” “months” and “years” with a game.
Ask for a volunteer to recite the words in order as the teacher point to them.
Step 3.Key concepts:
high low homework
1.Introduce:
a.Demonstrate “high” “low” with actions.
Use objects the Ss know and hold them high and low.
Ask for volunteers to do some actions.
b.Use a puppet to demonstrate “homework”.
Give the puppet some “homework” to do.
Act out a dialogue with the puppet and then act one out with a volunteer.
T: (To the puppet) This evening, please write a story.
Bring your story to school tomorrow. The story is your homework.
P:Okay! I am going to work hard on my homework. Is it time to go home?
T:Yes!It’s ___ (time). See you tomorrow.
2.Student book :
a.Play the audiotape as the Ss follow along their books.
3.Practice: Divide the class into small groups.
Ask each group to make a living picture for “working hard” at school, sports or home.六.Students’ activity:

教材分析
本课教材教给学生们在学校要努力学习,在家要帮助家长做力所能及的事情,并且坚持锻炼身体,这样才能拥有一个健康的身心。
学生分析
本课内容与学生生活密切相关,学生会很乐意学的他们会觉得简单易学非常有趣的。
设计理念
以学生为主体,结合本课内容,让学生自主学生,在活动中获得知识,活跃了课堂气氛,既使学生获得知识又使学生感到有趣。
教学目标
1、 能听说读写:high low homework reach bend
2、 复习句型:How many minutes do you ?
3、 培养学生爱学习,爱劳动,坚持锻炼身体的好习惯。

教学设计
一、 复习
1、 诵唱(上一课的儿歌):“Everyone Everyone…...”
2、 复习时间名词把卡片: minutes hours days weeks months years按顺序贴在黑板上,找一名自告奋勇的学生背出它的顺序,然后让学生闭上眼睛打乱顺序再让其排列顺序并读出单词。再找几名自告奋勇的学生说出它们之间的关系,开始的时候可以先提示一下例如:Sixty minutes make an hour.Twenty-four hours make a day.
二、 新授
1、出示课件学习单词:high low。让学生观察课件上的物体或用动作来演示high和low的概念。利用学生们熟知的物体,将它们举高然后举低。
2、 直接告诉学生homework和用做动作演示 reach bend这些单词的意思。
3、学习第一部分。You can do it。放录音。让学生带着问题听录音。
What should we do at school? What should we do at sports?
What should we do at home? Does Kim work hard?
How many minutes a day dry the dishes?
4、 把全班学生分成四人一组讨论课文内容,最后全班订正。检查学生理解情况。
5、学习第二部分:Does kim work hard?放录音。让学生带着问题听录音。

5、用书上第二部分最后一些问题互相提问做图表,可以先找一名自告奋勇的学生与老师对话,以便给其他学生一些提示。
三、放录音,学生跟读。
