‎2017高考英语阅读理解解析版汇编(21)‎ 阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C、D)中,选出最佳选项。‎ ‎(2016·河南省六校联考)Food is always the best weapon to fight against time rather than using cosmetics and health products. The food on the following list will help you to keep fit, maintain a healthy heart, increase immunity and spend everyday happily.‎ Avoid Memory Loss Fresh cheese will contribute to memory improvement because of its linoleic acid. It is also good for your bones due to the high calcium level. Eggs, milk, whole wheat bread, peanut butter, green pepper, cauliflower, pork liver and oysters are also good for your memory. A cup of red wine everyday is good for the nerve cells.‎ Fight Against Fat Choosing the right food is an easy way to keep fit, like eating tuna fish, which is low in sugar and fat and also has few calories. Furthermore, it contains a variety of high quality protein and other nutrients, and it tastes good. Rich in iron, it is especially good for young women. Tuna fish is considered to be a great source of protein. Eating 85 grams of tuna fish will provide you with 20 grams of protein; therefore you don't have to worry about gaining weight when you eat it. Eating tuna fish is definitely a good choice to help keep fit.‎ Clean Blood ‎ Breakfast with bread and honey is a wise choice for women. And the darker the honey, the better it is for you. According to research, dark honey is the best protection for human cells as it contains abundant elements with antioxidant functions. The elements found in honey will help clean your blood and prevent cardiac and cerebral diseases. If you like to exercise in the winter, you should eat more honey. The carbohydrates in honey will maintain your blood sugar level.‎ Increase Immunity Oranges contain the most vitamin C, 30 percent more than other kinds of fruit. The simplest and most effective way to prevent winter colds is to eat oranges. 1 or 2 oranges a day will satisfy the body's demand for vitamin C.‎ Young Heart Flavonol in broccoli florets can make people stronger and prevent cancer. Research conducted on 34,000 women revealed that flavonol can protect the heart and lower myocardial infraction from happening by a rate of 15-20 percent. However, flavonol in other plants such as tea or apples do not have this ability. Other than broccoli florets, walnuts are also good for the heart as they contain unsaturated fatty acid.‎ Breast Protection According to latest US research, the risk of breast cancer in women who eat an egg everyday is 18 percent lower than those who don't eat eggs. Swedish scientists have found that rye has the same function as it has the ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.‎ Maintain Your Youth Not everyone likes peanut butter, but no one should neglect it because of its strong antioxidation functions that come from the vitamin E it contains. It is also good energy food. Unsaturated fatty acid in peanut butter can help people feel full and the carbohydrates in it can give people greater physical strength and vigor.‎ ‎1.Who will pay much attention to this passage?‎ A.Those who are suffering diseases.‎ B.Those who are intended to keep fit and stay beautiful.‎ C.Those who are in need of advice on health.‎ D.Those who are old and in bad condition.‎ ‎2.Which statement is TRUE?‎ A.Only eggs, milk, whole wheat bread, peanut butter are good for your memory.‎ B.Fresh cheese is also good for your bones due to its linoleic acid.‎ C.A cup of red wine everyday can avoid memory loss.‎ D.Containing a variety of high quality protein and other nutrients, Tuna fish doesn't taste good.‎ ‎3.If you want to clean your blood, what should you take in?‎ A.Whole wheat bread. Scientists said the planet was the closest to Earth that has been seen.‎ Kepler 452b, which has been named Earth 2, is six billion years old. It has a 385-day year and orbits its star at the same distance as us. It is so like Earth that NASA believes it is possible that life once inhabited the planet. Kepler 452b is 60 percent larger in diameter (直径) than Earth. Scientists say that the planet received the same kind of sunshine as we do on Earth. Thus, plants could survive if taken to the planet.‎ Since the planet is 1.5 billion years older than Earth, scientists say it can show a possible future for earth. “If Kepler 452b is indeed a rocky planets, its location could mean that it is just entering an uncontrollable greenhouse period of its climate history.” Said Doug Caldwell, a scientist working on the Kepler Mission.‎ According to Caldwell, the increasing energy from its aging sun might be heating the surface and evaporating any oceans. Kepler 452b could be experiencing now what Earth will undergo more than a billion years from now, as the Sun ages and grows brighter.‎ The discovery also gives new hope that alien(外星人) civilizations may exist beyond the Solar System. “We won’t be going to this planet but our children’s children’s children might be.” said Jeff Coughlin, another research scientist on the Kepler Mission.‎ The Kepler space telescope (太空望远镜) has been looking for signs of new worlds outside the Solar System since May 2009, and has so far found more than 4,000 planets. But those planets are either too hot or too cold to sustain life.‎ ‎(注:Kepler Mission NASA 设计的发现类地行星的太空探索任务)‎ ‎1. The following statements about Kepler 452b (Earth 2) are all correct except ________.‎ A. It has existed for six billion years.‎ B. It is 60% larger in diameter than the earth.‎ C. It has already entered an uncontrollable greenhouse period of its climate history D. It is the closest planet to the earth.‎ ‎2. The importance of the discovery of Earth2 lies in the fact that Earth2 ________.‎ ‎① can show a likely future for the earth ‎② gives new hope that alien civilizations may exist beyond the Solar System ‎③ proves that life once inhabited the planet ‎④ proves that plants can survive on other planets apart from the eartth.‎ ‎⑤ is going through now what the earth will undergo more than a billion years from now A. ④⑤ B. ①③ C. ②④ D. ①②‎ ‎3. What can we infer from the text?‎ A. The earth has existed for about 4.5 billion years.‎ B. Kepler 452b is one of the planets in the Milky Way.‎ C. Doug Caldwel and Jeff Coughlin are both research scientists on the Kepler Mission.‎ D. More than 4,000 planets outside the Solar System still cannot sustain life now.‎ ‎1. C. 细节理解题。根据第三段中的“…its location could mean that it is just entering an uncontrollable greenhouse period of its climate history.” 根据第二段第一句话“Kepler 452b, which has been named Earth 2, is six billion years old.”和第三段第一句话中的“Since the planet is 1.5 billion years older than Earth,…” ‎ ‎(2016·延安模拟) Graham and his friends preferred to shoot_up in their arms, necks and legs. Wendy feared the same, but didn't know how to save her son.“Once, after he'd disappeared for more than a month, I found him at a friend's house with a bunch of other users,” she said, “I got down on my hands and knees, begging him to come home. He did, but the next morning he was gone.I don't know what made him do it, but I drove 20 miles to the nearest train station.Graham was headed for Seattle, his pockets full of drugs. If I hadn't gotten there in time, I would never have seen him alive again.”‎ The turning point came in 2007, after Graham was arrested yet again for possession.Wendy got a call from the Montana Drugs Project, which works with local law enforcement (强制执行) to keep track of youthrelated crimes so it can help families in trouble.Following a counselor's advice, Wendy hired two men to come to her home in the middle of the night, tie Graham and take him to a treatment program in Thompson Falls, Montana.“I was high when they came and really angry with my mom,” he said, “But if she hadn't done that, drugs would have killed me.” After six months of treatment, Graham, now 19, came back to Kalispell, where he's grown close to Wendy once again.“I still have the desires every day and attend support meetings every night,” he said, “But life is worth living again. There are two ways to go about getting one. First there is the traditional way. Find some friends and form a group. Learn to play the guitar or the drums. Write your own songs. Spend hours arguing about the band name. Then go on the road. ‎ The next step is to spend a year or two touring. If you are good, the crowds will get bigger. In the end an artist from a record company may come to a show. If he or she likes you, there may be a ‎ deal. This is the route traditionally followed by bands in the music industry. Success means fame and wealth. And failure gives you some interesting stories to tell your children.‎ Over the last few years a different path to success has become known. Boy bands like Boyzone and girl bands like the Spice Girls don't come together on their own. They are created by managers and record companies.Their image is strictly controlled. Professional song writers usually write their music. This is a convenient arrangement and the public seems to love the result.‎ Though boy and girl bands have become very popular recently, there is a long tradition of making music in this way. In the early 1960's an American businessman called Berry Gordy founded Motown Records. Motown is short for “motor town”. The record company was based in the city of Detroit, where thousands of AfricanAmericans had moved to work in the car industry. They brought with them a cultural tradition of writing and performing music. This style later became known as “soul music”. Berry Gordy was a diamond miner. He took raw talent from the street and polished it until it shone. Motown stars were not just given songs to sing. They were also taught how to dress well and speak properly. ‎ ‎1.In the first paragraph the writer seems to tell us ________. ‎ A. to form a band is very hard B. the name of the band is very important C. newlybuilt bands can only perform by road D. to form a band is very simple 答案:D 推断题。依据第一段中“First...”所在的句子可看出作者认为组成一个乐队非常简单。‎ ‎2.If a newborn band wants to succeed, as the writer tells, it must have the chance________.‎ A. to travel in big cities B. to perform before an artist C. to make an agreement with a record company D. to experience failure again and again 答案:C 细节题。根据第二段中“In the end an artist from a record company may come to a show.
