Step 1.Organizing the teaching
1.Greetings
2.Sing an English song.
Step 2. Revision
1.Play “What time is it?” to review how to express the times.
2.Play “Simons says” to review actions and phrases such as “ride a bicycle” “play ping pong” “run” “jump” and “walk.”.
Step 3.Key concepts: minutes hour exercise
1.Introduce:
a.Demonstrate “minute” and“hours” with a big clock.
b.Demonstrate “exercise” with volunteers.Ask for four or five volunteers.
Ask each volunteeto perform an action. As each volunteer performs his or her action,
ask the class to guess what he or she is doing. Lead them a dialogue such as:
T: Look! They are exercising! Riding a bike is exercise. Walking is exercise.
Running is exercise.What else is exercise? ____ing is ……
S: ……. is exercise.
T: Right! And ___ing is ……
S:……exercise
2.Student book :
a.Play the audiotapeas the Ss follow in their books.
3.Practice:
Teach “Everyone” chant and practice the chant with different ways.

如ride a bicycle ,play ping-pong , run ,jump , walk等。

● 用一只大钟来演示minute和hour的概念。
● 四到五名自告奋勇的学生一起演示exercise.让每名自告奋勇的学生(悄声地告诉他们!)表演一种动作(用上述做“Simon Says”游戏时的动作)。当每名自告奋勇的学生表演各自的动作时,要求全班其他学生猜他(她)在做什么。然后要求所有自告奋勇的学生表演他们各自的动作,同时,教师引导学生进行如下对话:
教师:Look! They are exercising!(指着每名自告奋勇者)Riding a bike is exercise. Walking is exercise. Running is exercise. What else is exercise?(指着一名自告奋勇者) ing is…
全班:…exercise.
教师:Right!(指着最后一名自告奋勇者)
And ing is…
全班:…exercise.
教师:Very good!
