Unit 2 Lesson 10 A walk in Beijing
General Goals for Unit 2
In this unit, Li Ming, his mother, Jenny and Danny see Tian’ anmen Square and the Palace Museum, and they go shopping at Wangfujing. This unit reviews words to describe actions and people, and adds new describing words and new action words to the students’ vocabulary.
Specific Goals for Unit 2 Mastery Vocabulary
Students can read, write, say and aurally understand the following vocabulary:
Adverbs:
quickly, slowly, loudly, quietly
Adjectives:
easy, hard, many
Nouns:
Camera, picture, everyone
Irregular plural nouns:
Men, women, children, people
Verbs:
help, hurt
Oral Vocabulary
Students can say and aurally understand the following vocabulary:

一、Suggestions for review
· To review modes of transportation (car, cab, bicycle , truck, airplane, train and bus)
and words for people (man ,men, woman, women, boy, girl, children and people).

· Demonstrate “quickly” and “slowly” by performing an action quickly and slowly as you say the words. Point out the difference between “I am quick/ slow” and “I am ing quickly/ slowly. ”
· Ask for volunteers to perform actions quickly and slowly. Describe the volunteers ’ actions to the class. Then ask the class to describe the actions.
