‎1、  It's sad to know that each year many teenagers experience the death of someone they love. This is likely to have an     1     on their life. Although bereavement(丧失) is a difficult and     2     topic, I'm going to talk about some of the things that     3     helped me to cope better after losing my dad in 2012.‎ ‎    The most important     4     is not to "bottle things up". At first, I didn’t tell anyone how I really felt when I should have spoken about it. No one should be     5     to feel upset after losing someone they love, as it’s an     6     time. It is important to talk about how you feel to people you     7     so they can support you. I “opened up” to few people, but it was nice to know that I had people there who I could     8     if I had a (n)     9     day. I spoke to my friends and my teachers, who would offer     10    .‎ ‎    Another thing that I found to be     11     after losing my dad was to make a     12     box. This is a box where I put stuff that reminded me of my dad, and the memories I     13     with him. I still have the     14     now, and it makes me     15    .‎ ‎    Finally, it’s important to take time to grieve(悲痛) properly. I decided to focus on my studies and the things I     16     doing. I get     17     from time to time but I’ve learned that it’s okay to     18    .‎ ‎    Everyone will have their own ways of     19      after losing someone they love. This outlines what I personally found helpful. Everyone should remember that they are not     20    .‎ ‎1.A.independence    B.impact    C.agreement    D.impression 2.A.impressive    B.objective    C.positive    D.sensitive 3.A.personally    B.simply    C.hopefully    D.possibly 4.A.thing    B.phrase    C.fact    D.truth 5.A.pleased    B.heartbroken    C.desired    D.ashamed 6.A.unimportant    B.unpleasant    C.untouched    D.unsatisfied 7.A.meet    B.know    C.trust    D.remember 8.A.look for    B.turn to    C.speak to    D.respond to 9.A.common    B.particular    C.easy    D.bad 10.A.accommodation    B.money    C.food    D.help 11.A.helpful    B.disappointed    C.painful    D.grateful 12.A.chocolate    B.experience    C.memory    D.personal 13.A.provided    B.shared    C.played    D.talked 14.A.box    B.stuff    C.memory    D.sadness 15.A.stop    B.wonder    C.smile    D.differ 16.A.forgot    B.kept    C.enjoyed    D.considered 17.A.upset    B.confused    C.bored    D.influenced 18.A.laugh    B.cry    C.question    D.calm 19.A.studying    B.living    C.handling    D.passing 20.A.allergic    B.alike    C.usual    D.alone ‎2、Over half of boy middle school students hope to get more support from their parents,  according to the lasted survey made by the National Institution of Education Sciences. How we use our money may     1     as much or more than how much we’ve got it. Money spent on experiences,    2     material goods, brings about more happiness.‎ Imagine that you wake up tomorrow morning to     3     $1 million under your mattress. What would you do     4     that cash? The new-found wealth will probably make you think about one thing     5     all else—yourself. A growing body of research reveals that money     6     our selfish sides, focusing us on     7     that money can do for us, and us alone. Perhaps you are imagining buying new     8    : a faster car, or even a larger house.‎ However, studies show that material goods often     9     deliver lasting happiness. Fortunately, our ongoing research     10     various ways to get more happiness from every dollar ‎ you spend. Changing how you spend money can lead to measurable increases in your happiness. But making these     11     requires challenging some of our fundamental assumptions about spending, since it’s     12     not to view buying a house as a wise investment. But new research shows it has little impact on your overall happiness. A study in theUnited Statesfound that homeowners, on average, were no happier than     13    .‎ Thus, diligently saving up for a down payment might not be such a good idea     14     it means skipping after-work beers with friends or your annual celebration at a favorite restaurant. Dozens of studies show that people get more happiness from buying     15     than material things. Experiential purchases—such as trips, concerts and special meals—are specially     16     to our sense of self, making us who we are.‎ Experiences come with one more     17    : They are likely to make us     18     to other people, while more often material things are enjoyed     19    . The importance of social contact for     20     mental and physical health has been stressed for decades.‎ ‎1.A.present    B.matter    C.appear    D.equal 2.A.better than    B.other than    C.rather than    D.more than 3.A.keep    B.own    C.discover    D.accept 4.A.to    B.with    C.about    D.for 5.A.above    B.beyond    C.except    D.after 6.A.draws out    B.takes in    C.stands for    D.makes up 7.A.who    B.why    C.what    D.how 8.A.life    B.equipment    C.vehicles    D.possessions 9.A.manage to    B.fail to    C.tend to    D.expect ‎ to 10.A.invites    B.offers    C.prefers    D.follows 11.A.changes    B.plans    C.decisions    D.mistakes 12.A.easy    B.hard    C.foolish    D.sensible 13.A.buyers    B.sellers    C.builders    D.renters 14.A.if    B.until    C.unless    D.though 15.A.experiences    B.goods    C.cars    D.houses 16.A.exposed    B.added    C.applied    D.related 17.A.disadvantage    B.conclusion    C.purpose    D.benefit 18.A.grateful    B.close    C.similar    D.equal 19.A.together    B.worldwide    C.long    D.alone 20.A.increasing    B.damaging    C.improving    D.recovering ‎4、    You may go to karaoke or disco clubs with your friends during the summer holidays .But be careful .In these    1    places you may see people selling small, colourful pills.
