小学英语《Unit 2 A new student》教案
I. Teaching aims:
①Knowledge aim: Students can read new words such as
classroom, floor, computer, etc and use sentence patterns such
as “How many ... are there ... ? There are ... .” to make sentences
correctly.
②Ability aim: Students can use new words and sentence
patterns correctly in their daily life.
③Emotional aim: Students can express themselves in public
bravely and cooperate with their classmates.
II. Teaching key and difficult points:
Teaching key point: Students can read new words such as
classroom, floor, computer, etc and use sentence patterns such
as “How many ... are there ... ? There are ... .” to make sentences
correctly.
Teaching difficult point: Students can use new words and
sentence patterns correctly in their daily life.
III. Teaching methods:
Communication teaching method; Task based teaching
method; Audio-lingual teaching method
IV. Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Warming up
The teacher greets students and sings a song with students
together.
(Justification: This step can warm up the atmosphere of the
class and catch students attention.)
Step 2 Pre-listening
The teacher shows new words classroom, floor, computer
with the help of the multimedia and creates a situation about
welcoming a new student including introducing school to the
new students with the sentence pattern “ How many ... are
there ... ? There are ... .” .
(Justification: This step can help students learn new content
better.)
Step 3 While-listening
The teacher plays the tape for two times. For the first time,
students should choose the right conclusion of the main idea of
the dialogue. Then they will listen it again and answer the
following questions:
①How many classrooms are there in Yang Ling’s school?
②Where is Yang Ling’ s classroom?
③Is there a music room in Yang Ling’s school?
The teacher will give a little candy to the one who shows right
answer.
(Justification: This step can help students understand
listening material clearly.)
Step 4 Post-listening
The teacher lets students to do a role-play. One student acts
as a new student and one student acts as a teacher who shows
the new student around. When they finish, the teacher will
choose some groups to perform their dialogues in front of the
class.
(Justification: This step can help students practice their new
knowledge in the class and strengthen their confidence to speak
English.)
Step 5 Summary and homework
The teacher asks one student to be an assistant teacher to
conclude what they have learned today and adds some points he
or she forget. After class, students should introduce their school
to their parents with the new knowledge.
(Justification: This step can help students consolidate what
they have learned today.)
